Brushes

Hey Lovies,

So the love I have for makeup had made me want to spend money lavishly which included considering spending LOTS of money for expensive branded brushes. I always believed that if you skimp on price you will definitely be skimping on quality.

Boy was I wrong when it comes to these brushes. I found out about these brushes from a friend who directed me to a blog (I can't for the life of me find the post) where the babe was talking about the Ebay version on these brushes. Seeing as I did not have an Ebay account, I hauled myself to Amazon to find the equivalent and lo & behold I found em! and for £13 may I say they are a bloody bargain. So soft, sturdy and quite frankly GREAT!

Blender Life...

I honestly believe I am the last person in the Makeup world that was yet to get my hands on the Real Techniques Complexion Sponge (Beauty Blender). I finally decided to take the plunge when I walked into Superdrug and found out that it was buy 1 get one 50% off! So you know I had to make them mine and see what all the fuss was all about.

I have used it once and found it to be EXTREMELY soft. I have not had the chance to touch or use the original beauty blenders so cannot compare but I can say that my foundation was blended in like a dreammmmmmm! I will let you know how I feel about it properly later after a few more uses.

I am already in love... Such a whore with my emotions right lol!

My name is Remmy & I have a PROBLEM…..

Yep, I am here to inform you all of this BIG and SHAMEFUL problem that I have.

So basically I have come to the realisation that I am a product junkie. I have more products than I can actually use. I then decided to come with a way to solve this problem by using them.

I have decided to aim to use 3 products up by the end of each month without re-stocking till I am all out of products, and only when all my stock build-up has been depleted will I go and but the products that work for me and stick to it.

This month I have started off well by using up the following products that are shown below.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap
The first item is the Clinique face wash from the 3 step sample size pack that I purchased a while back. I really liked this product at first but I just seemed to leave it and move on to something else. I doubt that I will be repurchasing if I am honest.

Allways Natural Indian Hemp Cream
In all honesty I cannot actually tell you how long I have had this hair cream for. I tend to use it more whenever I have braids in because I tend to get really itchy scalp and this cream just tames that itch. I already have a replacement for it which I am going to use as soon as the braids go in!

Midnight Fantasy Perfume
This perfume was given to me by Mumsy after I bought her the larger version. There was about half in it at the time but kept it when there was like 5 sprays remaining and didn't want to finish it. Eventually I had to :-(

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Moisturiser
This product was a struggle to finish product. The reason being that the formula seemed to leave me really dry which I really did not like! I used it to moisturise in the morning but moisturised with another product in the evenings. Again another product which I would not be purchasing again.

Victoria Secret Pure Seduction Body Butter
I love this product so finishing this was no problem at all. I tend to have quite a few of these as spare as people tend to get it for me when they travel to the US (before the store came to the UK). I love the scent of this and leaves my skin realllyyyy soft. I tend to mix it with vaseline when I use it (don't judge until you try it)!

Clinique Clarifying Lotion
Again this came as part of the 3 step set. I used this product as told (Morning and evening) but I hated this product as it left my face feeling really dry and tight which was the opposite of what it was meant to be doing. So I stopped using it. A friend then suggested I use it once a day instead and that seemed to work so much better. Re-purchase? probably not.. sorry!

Vanilla Eau De Toilette
This has to be my signature scent. Like seriously this smells AMAZING and I got it from The Body Shop. I even got a few friends onto the product and now they are hooked. It is not too overpowering but lasts for most of the day.

Hopefully I will keep this up and have more empties to show you by the end is August!

Are you a product junkie? Let me know and maybe we can embark on this 'journey' together lol

Riri Woo Stylingsss....

Hey Loves,

How have you all been? How has life been treating y'all???

So basically I know that you all have been seeing the make-up world going crazy over the oh so gorgeous Rihanna collaboration with MAC Cosmetics. This was to create a range specific to Rihanna like the Nicki Minaj collaboration to create the Pink Friday lipstick and the Viva Glam Nicki and Viva Glam Nicki 2 one.

There were pictures flying around of what may or may not be in the collection (see pic below)
And to say that even I was excited is an understatement to say the every least. I had to confer with the bestie and a few babes to see what they thought about the upcoming collection and see who was going to be involved with me lol.

So our American counterparts were the first to be blessed with the lipstick and with it selling out within three hours I made up my mind that I would definitely buy mine the next day! It was as deep as me having to set reminders on my phone and waiting with my phone set on the page till 11am for it to be active.

So long story short?

GAL GOT HER RIRI-WOO THOUGHHHHHH!!!

So the packaging is your standard MAC which I must say I was a tad bit disappointed about because I would have liked to see it stand out from the rest and the pictures floating around made it seem so! None the less there is nothing we can do about that. The lipstick itself has Rihanna's signature embossed into it which gives it a unique touch. This lipstick has been described as a blue toned red! Which apparantly makes it darker than its over loved (my opinion) predecessor Ruby Woo! This is cool but from the picture (which I do understand is just for promotional purposes) made it seem like it would be a sort of deep berry or almost black kind of colour which is actually what I think of when I think of Rihanna but nether the less it is a pretty colour and I was happy to have it.

Now the problem that seems to be surrounding this lipstick is that it is VERY similar to Ruby-woo! I know that a lot of 'make-up gurus' and the public in general are very disappointed about this! I personally cannot comment as I do not own Ruby-woo so this is a new shade FOR ME! But to be honest from the swatches and pics I have seen going around they do look pretty similar.

So for that reason I would not suggest getting it when they stock up in June. But if like me you did not own ruby-woo you can get it.

I will be out and about this weekend so I will try to take a few pictures of me with it on and I may also play around with a few different lip liners to see what other shades/colours I can produce to give me the look that suits me!

What are your thoughts on Riri-Woo? Do you have it and are you pleased with your purchase? Leave your comments below and I'll chat to you in my next post!

Face Of The Day

Hey guys this is just a quick post to show you my face for today!

I cannot lie to you I was pretty much really lazy today and wasn't even going to go to church today. I took one look at the snow and thought "Nah blud, the snow is mocking... Ain't nobody got time fo that"!!!

Butttt I decided to battle against laziness and go. Glad I did.

This is what I came up with...

I think I have actually got the infamous winged eye look down *pats self on the back*

Anyway sha, hope you all have a blessed Sunday and I'll see you in my next post.

Valentine's Love...

Seeing as we have entered the month of love I decided to do a look that could be worn for the special day.
It is a simple look that is very versatile, will suit anyone and is not too much for the date with that special person whomever they may be.

So whether its for a fancy date with your babe
or a dinner with your girls (for the single ladies) out there this
is one that can be recreated easily.

I apologise in advance for the crappy picture quality and random backgrounds. I was trying to find the best lighting *covers eyes*.

To create this look:
1) I primed my face then filled in my eyebrows
2) I them Primed my eyelid with Urban Decay potion primer and applied
NYX Milk Jumbo pencil and blended it in
3) I then used my brown eyeshadow (1) as my transition colour just above my crease.
4) I then took my MAC Woodwinked (2) and used it on the center and inner corner of my eyelid.
4) I went back in with my transition colour to blend out any visible harsh lines.
5) In my crease I used MAC Embark (3), but not too much. Just to add some colour and add dimension.
6) I went back in with my blending brush again to targed any harsh/blunt lines before applying the pretty deep shimmer red from my Sleek Sunset pallette (4) to the outer V of my lids.
7) then finally i added a tiny bit of the Black from my Inglot pallette (5) to the outer v too again just with a light hand.
8) I then Highlighted under my brows with Ricepaper (6)
9) To complete the eyes I done alot of blending, added Lashes that I bought on Ebay and also eyeliner.
10) It all came together by applying my Lancome foundation, concealer, Mineralize Powder in Dark, Blush in Raizin and highlighted the rest of my face.

So I first done the look with a Nude lip with MACs Yash (matte) lipstick and NYX Nutmeg lipliner but also gave alternatives depending on tastes and how dark you dare to go....

Yash + NYX Nutmeg                                 MAC Strong Woman + NYX Deep
                             Liner                                                        Purple Liner

Inglot 175 + NYX Deep Purple Liner                MAC Viva Glam I + MAC Beet

I hope you like the look and let me know what you look you will be doing for your V.day.
Whatever you do, stay safe and have fun with the one/s you love.
