Habakuk 2:2 - And the Lord answered me, and said, 'Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run and readeth it'
Hey Lovies,
Something that has been on my mind for the longest was putting what gifts/talents I have to good use in order to achieve the ultimate vision that I have.
The above scripture is one that I love as it shows that writing the vision that you have allows you to see it everyday as well as figure out ways to make it a reality.
When this scripture is dissected it amounts to:
The Lord said, Write the vision — Write down what I am going to say. Every divine communication, by whatever means made, is often spoken of in the prophetic writings under the title of a vision.
When the prophets were commanded to write any thing, it denoted the great importance of it, and that the fulfilling of it was at some distance.
Make it plain upon tables — Write it in legible characters; that he may run that readeth — That it may be read with ease.
Now in the time that this was written this was referring to the coming of Jesus but this could also be applied to modern day life. I am a very big believer of what you speak/proclaim out of your mouth shall come to pass. Now I know not everyone may agree with me and that is fair enough, but this is something that I strongly believe.
For this reason I decided to go out and get a journal if you will that I would be writing down the goals that I would like to achieve! Not just writing it down but also reading it on a daily basis and finding ways to achieve them even if it's just a small action that would go towards that ultimate dream. By also doing this I am setting myself a personal challenge in being proactive and not fearing what the outcome may be as that is what holds me back in alotttt of things that I want to do.
I know this is not something that everyone does or sees as worthwhile but I thoroughly believe that lists, tasks and goals are really helpful for me getting things done.
What do you do to give yourself that much needed kick up the bum? Let me know x
