I NEED A MASSAGE...

One thing that I recently done was took a trip to the spa with mumsy and we absolutely loved it, especially the massages. We both had a back, neck and shoulder massage as well as a luxury facial. I cannot lie we were spoilt that day.

Which brings me to the point of this post... I WANT another massage.

Now I am not going to lie and make it seem like it was cheap but it's certainly doable. I tend to get really bad joint pains and found that massages work wonders in helping to relieve the pain. With that said I decided to take a trip to my trusty Lush and see what they had to offer in terms of massage bars.

After a lovely chat with one of the super sweet associates I finally settled with the Pearl Massage Bar (images below).
This bar has sweet but delicate floral scent to it which I assume are the Lemon oil and Rose absolute in it.. As well as giving it the lovely smell rose absolute is also known for its moisturizing qualities. Couple that with the Shea butter you have a really nourishing bar. Not only that but the bar is also made with antioxidant Argan oil and sago bubbles to help boost circulation.

What i really like about this bar is the way it is really easy to work with, it melts easily in your hands and does not leave an annoying film on the skin. The only comma is that the pearls seem to fall out easily which can be annoying but apart from that I really enjoy using it.

Origins Spot Treatment

Recently my skin has been going crazy and I had to find something to tame it. The reason for this overreaction is still unknown to me but something had to be done... and FAST!

I remembered from watching a few of my fave Youtubers that the Origins spot remover was mentioned a few times and decided to hunt it down. First of all I would like to state that this TINY 10ml bottle was £15!!! (Dashes small side-eye at Origins).

Besides the extortion which is the price, this is actually a really good product. I used it when I noticed there were a few spots trying to form. After cleansing my face I applied the product using a cotton bud directly on the spot and went to bed. By the next morning the size and redness had decreased considerably and was gone within a couple of days with regular use.

Yes the price is a little steep for how much you get but in all honesty it will last a very long time as only a drop (literally) is needed.

The product contains Salicylic Acid which we know does a number on blemishes, the Caffeine calms the skin and the Red Algae helps to reduce the redness. This I would say is good for all skin types but will suggest those with particularly sensitive skin should use it sparingly.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation...

Hey Beauties,
So this post has me slightly excited because I have had my eye on this foundation since it came out. With lots of reviews also coming out and people constantly informing of just how much they love it, and their go to foundation I had to test it myself.
So in true Remmy style I hauled ass to Selfridges and requested a sample as usual.
I was given a very small sample (which was expected) and was told the usual 'A little goes a long way'. Fast forward a few weeks... I made the purchase.

Before we get into the review can we please have a moment for the foundation actually having a pump. It was so annoying having to purchase the pump separately.

Texture & Consistency
The formulation for this foundation is very light. The formulation is far from a thick consistency and is not too runny. It does not have silicones in it (as far as I am aware of) that gives the odd texture. It is slightly silky to the touch.

Smell
The foundation has the typical Nars fragrance but is not to strong or overbearing as others on the market. The smell disappears once on the skin.

Application
When it is first applied it feels like there is nothing on the skin and if you are not careful would add too much that it then gets streaky. I fund that the best way to apply was to add a little at a time with a brush then use my beauty blender to give even coverage without leaving streaks which happens with brush applications.

Coverage
Because the foundation is very light in texture one assumes that the coverage won't be as great. The fact that the formulation is light the fact same time give great coverage. This can be built upon depending on the kind of coverage you like/prefer which I think can be really beneficial.

Oxidisation
When applying the foundation, I did not notice any kind of oxidisation or the colour becoming darker throughout the day which I really liked. It can be a pain when you feel that your foundation bangs, and then step put and realise that your face is much darker than your chest.

Finish
If you were hoping for a fully matte foundation... this is not for you! This gives you a somewhat subtle glow but has a light matte finish at the same time. I have tried using it with and without a setting powder and loved both results. I personally prefer to set all my foundations especially the nose area as I tend to get oily in my T-zone as the day goes on.

Staying Power
I was pleasantly surprised at the staying power of this foundation. With only my t-zone prime this foundation lasted a solid 8 hours on me and that was when I wanted to put it through its paces and tested it against a party setting. Throughout the night I had to touch up with powder only once and that was my nose (as usual).

All in all I think that this Foundation is a great investment and has easily replaced my Sheer Matte foundation also by Nars. Definitely a thumbs up from me and recommend you at least acquire a sample.

Are you in the process of foundation hunting? Have you tried the ADLW Foundation? Or do you own it? WHat are your thoughts? let me know!

Oh So Lush...

Hey Lovies,

This is a post that I started writing a while ago but somehow managed to stick in the drafts section :/. Nevertheless I really wanted to give you a heads up of the following products that I picked up from Lush and absolutely loved.

  • Hair Doctor - One of my biggest problems that I have been battling with is dry scalp and no matter how much oil, cream I slap on it just wasn't working. So after a chat with the lovely staff in Lush I was recommended the Hair Doctor hair mask. This mask is God sent. My scalp seemed to love it as well as my hair. The mask is of a thick gritty consistency that I coated all through my hair and scalp. Left it on for 40mins while I done some work then shampooed and conditioned as normal and my hair was noticeably softer and more manageable. I would say that one container is not necessarily enough if you have really thick or really long hair (I struggled to coat all my hair) which is something to bare in mind if you decide to purchase it. Pictures below.
  • R&B Moisturiser  - This is a rich moisturiser that really helped to quench my thirsty locks. The only downfall of this is the hefty £11.50 for 100g price tag which hurts my heart. This does make me reconsider as I have very thick hair as well as alot of hair so use quite a lot of the product. So if I go through that tub every 1-2 weeks, I am spending too much money.
  • Breath Of Fresh Air - My skin absolutely loved this toner. It seemed to drink it up and always felt refreshed. I think the patchouli oil is what I have to thank for that as it is known for its cooling and astringent properties. It also helped to calm my face whenever it felt irritated from a product I was using which again seems to be due to the Rose absolute in the toner. I love that this is very refreshing and would certainly be repurchasing as I have ran out due to my daily use. I think I would be using this more in the warmer months.
  • Dream Steam - This is a small toner tab which you pop into a bowl of hot water and put your face over it and allow the steam to open up your pores and helps your skin to absorb the essential oils contained in it. The tab has rose absolute to calm redness, camomile blue oil to help soothe the skin as well as tee tree oil for its antibacterial properties. This is nice for those once a week skin refresher, some what like a mask. Although I liked it I doubt it is something that I would repurchase just because I am impatient and having to wait for the steam to really open up my pores etc is just to long for my liking.
